QR Generator creates QR codes for texts, links, WiFi, contacts and much more. Pick a template, fill in the fields and download the finished code as PNG, SVG or JPEG, or copy it in one click. Everything runs entirely in your browser – nothing is uploaded to a server.

Choose a template

Start by picking a template from the grid: Text, Website (URL), WiFi, Contact (vCard), Email, SMS, Phone call, WhatsApp, Location, Calendar event, SEPA transfer, PayPal or Bitcoin. The form below the grid changes to match the template you selected.

Fill in the fields

Enter your data in the fields of the selected template, for example the network name and password for WiFi, or the IBAN and amount for a SEPA transfer. The preview and the QR content update as you type.

The templates

• Text — any free text.
• Website (URL) — a link that opens when scanned.
• WiFi — joins a WPA/WPA2, WEP or open network (hidden networks supported).
• Contact (vCard) — saves a contact to the address book.
• Email, SMS and Phone call — a pre-filled message, SMS or call.
• WhatsApp — opens a chat with a number.
• Location — a geo: coordinate for map apps.
• Calendar event — adds a calendar entry.
• SEPA transfer — an EPC069-12 payment for European banking apps.
• PayPal and Bitcoin — a PayPal.Me link or a BIP21 payment.

Options

• Size — the output size from 128 to 1024 pixels.
• Error correction — L, M, Q or H; a higher level makes the code more robust to damage.
• Quiet zone — the white margin around the code (0–8 modules).
• Foreground and background — the two colours of the code. Keep enough contrast so scanners can read it.

Export and copy

Download the code as PNG, SVG (vector, ideal for printing) or JPEG. With Copy image the picture goes straight to the clipboard, and Copy content copies the encoded text. Use the phone camera to scan the preview and test the code.

Privacy

Everything runs locally in your browser – no data is uploaded and nothing is stored on a server. Your entries never leave your device.
